Meet Jada Winston
Jada Winston was crowned the 2026 Miss University of North Alabama on February 11, 2026. Miss UNA is an official preliminary to the Miss Alabama and Miss America competitions. Her community service initiative tackles food insecurity across North and Central Alabama, partnering with organizations including Grace Klein Community, Backpack Buddies, UNA's Roar Access Pantry, Shoals Dream Center, the Community Food Bank of Central Alabama, and Vineyard Family Services.
A 21-year-old junior from Pelham, Alabama, Jada is majoring in Sports Management with a minor in Public Relations. She's a former UNA Lions cheerleader, a Senator for the College of Education and Human Sciences, SGA Pro-Tempore, Treasurer of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc., NPHC Director of Programming, a member of the Black Lioness Association, and a UNA Digital Ambassador.
Her sports career goals are already underway: Jada has interned with ESPN and works with Team Alabama UCA as a cheer instructional coach and judge. She hopes to one day lead community outreach for a professional sports organization.
Faith-driven and family-oriented, Jada loves traveling with her parents and brother whenever she gets the chance.
The Miss America Opportunity
The four points of the Miss America crown represent success, style, service, and scholarship. Through the Miss America Organization, titleholders earn scholarships, build professional and leadership skills, champion a community service platform, and gain a national stage to share their voice.
