Lion’s Den Grand Champion Program
The Lion’s Den Game Room Grand Champion program is a year-long individual Game Room Tournament Competition. The purpose of the Lion’s Den Game Room Grand Champion is to encourage friendly competition between students as they compete in a variety of Game Room Tournaments. The Grand Champion will be determined by the accumulation of points throughout the year. The person with the most points will be the Lion’s Den Game Room Grand Champion for the year!
Eligibility
All University of North Alabama students who have paid their Student Activity Fee for both Fall and Spring Semester of the current academic year are eligible.
Entry Information
A student may enter as many tournaments as they would like.
Adherence to posted sign up deadlines (where applicable) is necessary.
Earned Points
The top ten finishers in each tournament will be awarded points based on their finish location.
Points are accumulated throughout each semester. Thus, the more tournaments you place in, the more points you will accumulate.
The top three point scorers at the end of the Academic Year will be awarded prizes.
The top point scorer for the Academic Year will be crowned Lion’s Den Game Room Grand Champion and be awarded a special prize.
Scorekeeping
Point totals will be tallied at the end of each Tournament. They will be kept in a database and entered by the Game Room staff. Scores will be posted here after each tournament. Signs will be posted in the Lion’s Den Game Room as well.
Lion’s Den Usage Policies
We want the Lion’s Den to be a fun, safe place. Please follow the guidelines below to ensure that everyone has a good time.
- All game room patrons are required to submit their own University of North Alabama Mane Card ID to the attendant in order to enter. Once the ID is verified, the patron will be permitted access.
- All non-University of North Alabama guests must be accompanied by an enrolled student or a faculty or staff member. Guests must sign in and out upon entering/exiting. In order to check out game room equipment, guests must be at least 13 years old and submit their University sponsor’s Mane Card ID. Guests are required to leave when their UNA sponsor leaves.
- Absolutely no running/horseplay
- Food is allowed in the game room; however, please keep the items away from the playing surfaces, gaming systems, and computers. You are responsible for removing your trash.
- Please do not sit, lean, or place personal effects on the gaming tables.
