SCOEHS Ambassador Program

The Spencer College of Education and Human Sciences Student Ambassadors are a select group of high-achieving, engaged students who demonstrate academic excellence, leadership, and a strong desire to serve others while promoting the University of North Alabama. Ambassadors act as representatives of the College, mentors to students, and advisors to the Dean, helping to strengthen community, spirit, and interest in SCOEHS programs.

The Role of a Student Ambassador

Student Ambassadors support a wide range of outreach, recruitment, and engagement efforts for the College, including:

  • Assisting with undergraduate student recruitment
  • Providing campus tours and serving as official hosts at events
  • Speaking to university and community groups
  • Representing the College at receptions, meetings, and special events
  • Helping enhance the overall student experience within the SCOEHS

Selection as a SCOEHS Student Ambassador is competitive and prestigious. Ambassadors gain meaningful personal and professional development through:

  • Leadership experience to highlight on a professional résumé
  • Improved public speaking and interpersonal communication skills
  • Opportunities to mentor and inspire current and prospective students
  • Interaction with faculty, staff, and university leadership

Kappa Delta Pi (KDP)

Kappa Delta Pi (KDP) is an international honor society in education dedicated to recognizing academic excellence, fostering professional growth, and advancing the teaching profession. Membership provides students and educators with opportunities for leadership development, networking, scholarship, community service, and professional learning. 

Through local chapter involvement and access to a global community of educators, KDP members build meaningful connections, develop valuable career skills, and contribute to the ongoing improvement of education for learners of all ages.
