Undergraduate Transient Approval Request
Current UNA undergraduate students who plan to take courses at another institution must submit a Transient Approval Request before enrolling. This process ensures that courses taken elsewhere will apply appropriately toward your degree requirements at UNA.
If you’re unsure whether a course will transfer, review commonly accepted course equivalencies or consult your academic advisor before submitting your request. Select your academic college below to begin the approval process.
Once submitted, your request will be routed to the advisor listed on the form and then to your college dean for approval. After all approvals are complete, you’ll receive a notification through your UNA email account.

Graduate Transient Approval Request
Graduate students who plan to take courses at another institution must submit a Graduate Transient Approval Request before enrolling. This process ensures that coursework completed elsewhere is reviewed and approved for application toward your graduate degree at UNA.
To complete the request, you will need:
- Your UNA email address
- Your program or major
- The name of the institution you plan to attend
- The term and year you intend to complete the transient course(s)
- The transient course number and title
- The equivalent UNA course number and credit hours
Once submitted, the form will automatically route through the approval process, including the student, the appropriate college dean, the Office of the Registrar, and the Office of Admissions. After all approvals are complete, a PDF copy of the finalized form will be sent to both your UNA email account and the student’s UNA email account.
