Program Overview
Explore the science of human behavior, thought, emotion, learning, and relationships with a Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science in Psychology from UNA. This undergraduate program helps students build a foundation in psychological science while developing valuable skills in research, communication, critical thinking, problem-solving, and understanding people.

- Study human behavior through a scientific lens. Students explore major areas of psychology, including learning, memory, perception, motivation, emotion, physiological bases of behavior, social behavior, abnormal behavior, and research methods.

- Access advising and student resources. Psychology students are required to meet with an assigned psychology advisor before registering for courses each semester, and advisors are also available for degree- and career-related questions.
Curriculum & Coursework
The BA/BS in Psychology requires 120 total credit hours. Students complete general education requirements, psychology major requirements, a required minor, second major, or second degree, and general electives as needed. For the BA degree, students must also complete six hours of required foreign language at the introductory level.

- Admission to the University of North Alabama.
- Completion of applicable undergraduate student requirements.
- Completion of general education requirements, psychology major requirements, a required minor, second major, or second degree, and general electives as needed.
