Program Overview
The University of North Alabama’s Bachelor of Science in Health and Fitness program prepares students to promote healthy lifestyles, improve individual and community well-being, and lead wellness-focused initiatives. Through a multidisciplinary curriculum that combines health, fitness, recreation, and management principles, students develop the knowledge and practical skills needed to pursue a variety of careers in the health and wellness industry.

Health and Fitness Concentrations
Fitness Management Concentration
The Fitness Management concentration prepares students to lead and manage fitness, wellness, and recreation programs in a variety of settings. Through coursework in health promotion, fitness programming, leadership, and facility management, students will develop the skills needed to help individuals and communities achieve their health and wellness goals.
Health Promotion Concentration
Pursuing a Health Promotion concentration prepares students to educate, motivate, and empower individuals and communities to make better-informed health decisions. Through coursework in health education, wellness, and behavior change, students in this program will acquire the skills needed to promote healthy lifestyles and improve overall well-being across diverse populations and fields.
