The School of Humanities and Social Sciences, situated within the College of Arts, Sciences, and Engineering, is a diverse group of departments dedicated to helping students become intellectually well-rounded members of a global community. The School aims to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of human experiences, societal structures, and cultural phenomena. It emphasizes critical thinking, analytical skills, and a broad perspective on human nature and social interactions. Across all our departments, students will learn in an open, supportive, and academically-rigorous environment. The School offers numerous undergraduate and graduate programs, as well as professional certificates, both in person and online.

The School of Humanities and Social Sciences offer many study abroad opportunities each year in which students can conduct research, practice languages, and visit historical monuments all while earning valuable credit hours towards their major! Contact an advisor today to find the trip that best fits you.

Internships

Boeing, NASA, Rödl & Partner USA—These are just a few of the companies in which students have interned during their undergraduate study. These roles give a unique view into prospective careers that help students identify the areas in which they can envision themselves and put their education into action. Internships are also beneficial as they open the door to networking opportunities and give students an advantage in the job market upon graduation.
