Out-of-State Distance Education Regulations
Out-of-state applicants to our distance education programs should become familiar with their state’s regulations governing distance-accessible programs. Prospective students residing in states other than Alabama should contact their state’s Board of Nursing and Department of Education for specific rules and regulations about students enrolled in out-of-state programs who plan to conduct ACONHP distance education in their home state. Students who reside in Alabama, Mississippi, and Tennessee or those states where the ACONHP programs are permitted to place students clinically are eligible for admission.

Early Admission Option
The Anderson College of Nursing and Health Professions (ACONHP) will offer early admission (EAdm) to a select group of highly qualified high school seniors who plan to seek a career in nursing. Applicants must be admitted to UNA and apply for the EAdm option by March 31st.
This select group of students will be guaranteed admission into the traditional nursing option as long as all requirements are met. A dedicated nursing advisor will be assigned to all EAdm students to help them develop a course schedule each semester. Meeting the minimum requirements does not guarantee admission into the EAdm option.
