Center for Premier Awards and Scholarly Engagement
UNA Student Research
The University of North Alabama is proud to offer students the opportunity to engage in student research as well as apply for a number of prestigious national and international awards through the Center for Premier Awards and Scholarly Engagement.
Our mission is to help students connect with projects that can further their education, with opportunities to engage in student research throughout the university. The center supports students as well as faculty with travel and development grants as well as opportunities to showcase their research for the university community.
Student Research On Campus
The Center for Premier Awards and Scholarly Engagement hope to provide students at UNA with the tools necessary to produce and present quality research. We offer various services and assist students at both the undergraduate and graduate level.
Premier Awards
Premier Awards are unlike scholarships for tuition; they can be for graduate school, going abroad, and beyond. Whether it’s studying foreign languages that are important to national security, working in a lab over the summer, studying abroad, showing commitment to the environment and public service, the Center for Premier Awards and Scholarly Engagement is here to help you realize your goals.
A sponsored opportunity to conduct research or studies in a foreign country, a premier university, or in a topic of personal significance can be a pivotal point in a person’s life, and the launch point of a career that makes a difference.
[UNA: confirm that all of the above is relevant to student research and whether we need to list all the awards/scholarships & detail on this page]
Scholar Day
The Center for Premier Awards and Scholarly Engagement hosts two Scholar Days throughout the academic year. The days are dedicated to representing all forms of research, creative activity, and other deliverables. We will host exhibitions, displays, performances, poster presentations, oral presentations, and departmental symposiums.
Students from all Colleges are encouraged to participate. Each student interested in participating must be sponsored by a Faculty member and fill out the form below. We are excited that all students have an opportunity to express their creativity and present their research on campus at UNA.
