The University of North Alabama’s Alternative A Master of Arts in Education program provides a pathway for individuals with a bachelor’s degree to earn both a master’s degree and initial teacher certification. Options + Tracks
P–3 (MAEd)
The P–3 (MAEd) concentration prepares educators to support the developmental and academic needs of young learners. Coursework focuses on early childhood education, instructional strategies, and creating engaging learning environments for children from preschool through third grade.
Secondary Education (MAEd)
The Secondary Education concentration prepares future educators to teach students at the middle and high school levels. Students strengthen their content knowledge and instructional skills while learning strategies that support student achievement and engagement.
Teacher Education, P–12 (MAEd)
